
Mark Clemans
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mark Clemans is the President and Chief Executive Officer and an original founder of Carrier Energy
Partners. He has over 30 years of experience in upstream oil and gas evaluations, operations, and
investing. Mark founded Carrier Petroleum in 2009, a company that built a non-operated portfolio of
oil and gas assets for a Fortune 200 company. Prior to forming Carrier Petroleum, Mark was a Vice
President with the E&P Capital team of Goldman, Sachs & Co. for five years. In addition, he was
previously with the firms of Netherland, Sewell & Associates and Sproule Associates as a Senior
Consulting Engineer. His professional career started with Exxon-Mobil where he held assignments in
reservoir engineering, production operations, and project management. Mark received a Bachelor of
Science Degree with honors in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from The Pennsylvania State
University, and has an MBA from The University of New Orleans. He holds P.E. Licenses in the states
of Texas and Louisiana. Mark is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, Houston Producers’ Forum, Houston Energy Finance Group, and ADAM-Houston.

Christina Chen
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Christina Chen is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and an original founder of Carrier Energy Partners. She previously was the Vice President of Finance for Carrier Petroleum, where she led the financial evaluation and portfolio management efforts of the company. Prior to joining Carrier, Christina was with Goldman, Sachs & Co, working in Corporate Treasury in New York before moving to Houston to join E&P Capital. While she was in E&P Capital, Christina evaluated and executed principal investments in the energy industry, performed due diligence, and helped manage a portfolio of over $600 million. She is a member of Houston Producers’ Forum, ADAM-Houston, and Women’s Energy Network, and she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Houston Energy Finance Group, Harvard University Club of Houston, and the H2H Initiative. She was named an Oil and Gas Investor Forty under 40 honoree and a 2017 Top 15 Women in Business of Houston. Christina graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Mathematics, where she was also a member of the varsity women’s tennis team.
